Stay clear of these roads during the 2023 bar exams

These will be held on September 17, 20 and 24

In preparation for the 2023 bar exams, some local government units in Metro Manila have warned motorists of heavy traffic and road closures around certain universities. If you’re planning on driving on September 17, 20 and 24, it might be wise to check alternate routes or reschedule your trip. Below are the testing centers and their respective traffic advisories.

UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES DILIMAN

Heavy traffic expected on the following roads:

  • University Avenue – 3:30am to 9am; 3:30pm to 7pm
  • C.P. Garcia Avenue – 3:30am to 9am; 3:30pm to 7pm
  • Katipunan Avenue – 3:30am to 9am; 3:30pm to 7pm
  • Commonwealth Avenue – 3:30am to 9am; 3:30pm to 7pm

UNIVERSITY OF SANTO TOMAS

The following roads will be closed:

  • Dapitan Street (Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street) – 3:30am to 9am; 3:30pm to 7pm
  • España Boulevard (eastbound, two lanes from Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street) – 3:30am to 9am; 3:30pm to 7pm

SAN BEDA UNIVERSITY

The following roads will be closed:

  • Legarda Street (eastbound, two lanes from San Rafael Street to Mendiola Street) – 2am to 7pm
  • Mendiola Street (both lanes from Peace Arch to Malacañang Gate) – 2am to 7pm
  • Concepcion Aguila Street (both lanes from Mendiola Street to Jose Laurel Street) – 2am to 7pm
