The Cavite-Laguna (CALAX) Governor’s Drive Interchange is all set to open within this year. At 40% completion, the construction plans are on track and within the scheduled time frame.

Upon full completion, road users will be able to enjoy the convenience of shorter travel toward General Trias, Cavite. The 8.64km strip will connect Silang (Aguinaldo) to Governor’s Drive (General Trias).

“We are committed to completing the entire stretch of CALAX by 2025,” said MPCALA Holdings officer-in-charge Elnora Rumawak. “Its full opening will not only ease traffic and improve connectivity, but also support economic growth by enhancing access to key areas in Cavite and Laguna.”

Once done, the 45km CALAX will deliver a total of eight interchanges to provide more seamless connectivity (Laguna Technopark, Laguna Boulevard, Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Silang East, Aguinaldo, Governor’s Drive, Open Canal, and Kawit Interchange). CALAX will correspondingly be linked with the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), serving 95,000 vehicles traveling between Metro Manila, Cavite, and Laguna daily.
