The Quezon City local government has its own bus service transporting commuters within the city. And in compliance with the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (or EVIDA Law), the LGU will roll out electrified versions of its Q City Bus.

The e-Q City Bus will have a seating capacity of 41 passengers, and it will also feature a wheelchair ramp for greater accessibility. According to the LGU, electrifying its bus fleet will reduce carbon emissions by up to 25% and improve the city’s air quality.

Hopefully, more LGUs will follow in Quezon City’s footsteps by investing in public transportation that is clean and accessible. To learn more about the bus service, you can check this Facebook post.
