Visitors to the 2026 Manila International Auto Show are in for a treat as Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines showcases its technical prowess at its booth.

One of the standout stars of the booth is Mornine, a state-of-the-art robot that walks, dances, and delivers keynote speeches, including highlights of Jaecoo’s latest model. During a presentation before members of the media, the high-tech robot delivered a product briefing on the all-new J5 SHS HEV, the latest subcompact crossover SUV in Omoda & Jaecoo’s product range.

Built for people who want a stylish city crossover but also enjoy the outdoors, the J5 is designed with the “Origin of Nature” philosophy in mind. The new subcompact SUV perfectly blends sleek styling with tough looks in one great package.

But the J5 isn’t just a pretty crossover; it also offers impressive performance. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 221hp and 295Nm of torque.

This allows the J5 to sprint from rest to 100km/h in just 7.9 seconds while sipping fuel at a rate of 23km/L. Despite its subcompact dimensions, it is unbelievably spacious, with an 82.8% space utilization rate and almost three dozen storage spaces.

There is a lot more going for the J5, but the best bit is its price. The Jaecoo J5 is available in two variants: Comfort (P999,000) and Luxury (P1,109,000).

To further sweeten the deal, customers can reserve their J5 at MIAS for just P1,000, and get a P10,000 cash discount. Also, the first 20 J5 buyers will get an additional P7,000 worth of official accessories.

Finally, those who purchase their J5 at MIAS will also get one year of free roadside assistance (worth P5,000) and one year of free periodic maintenance services (worth P23,000).

But another big surprise awaits Omoda & Jaecoo customers as it launches its OJ Network affiliate program. By registering and attending a three-hour mandatory brand-and-product training session, you can become an official partner and receive an incentive of P10,000 for every qualified retail sale.
