Led by CEO Elon Musk, Tesla has transformed into a global force for electric mobility. Beyond this, the brand aggressively pushes its mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
The marque has now opened its Tesla Experience Center in Uptown Parade, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig—a fitting location in the heart of modern Metro Manila. This minimalist showroom boasts a seamless, one-stop solution for each and every need that customers may have. Everything can be easily accessed from sales to service under one roof. It even has a merchandise section.
The spacious showroom can display three vehicles at a time with ample breathing room. A section for vehicle configuration can be found at the rear portion of the display floor where customers can sit down with a Tesla representative to build their dream EV.
For the time being, the Model 3 sedan and the Model Y crossover—vehicles from the brand’s China assembly plant—are on display here. According to one of their executives on-site, it will only be a matter of time before they bring in other offerings such as the Cybertruck, the Model S, and the Model X.
The goal now is to establish costumer confidence by expediting the development of Tesla’s network of proprietary fast chargers across the metropolis and eventually the rest of the country.
Billionaire tycoon Kevin Tan, executive director of Megaworld Corporation (builder of the new Tesla showroom), graced the occasion.
“I am thrilled to announce the opening of the first Tesla Experience Center in the Philippines at Uptown Parade in our Uptown Bonifacio township,” shared Tan. “This launch is a significant milestone not only in Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, but it also resonates strongly with Megaworld’s commitment to sustainability. Soon, Tesla will introduce its first indoor supercharger station in the country at Uptown Mall, featuring four superchargers for our customers’ convenience.”
With the official dealer’s more attainable prices than gray-market importers (plus ecosystem development and full customer support), do you think Filipinos will fall in love with Tesla?
Visitors at Uptown Mall can also check out the pop-up Tesla showcase on the ground floor until November 15.
