While we are reminded to keep ourselves and our vehicles in the best shape, accidents and other travel-related issues can happen. And when it does, it’s comforting to know that the following companies will be there to assist you.

Here’s a compilation of various motorist-assistance programs to be conducted by different mobility companies for this year’s Undas break.

Toyota Motor Philippines’ emergency roadside assistance program
The following participating Toyota dealerships will offer free assistance from October 31 to November 3:

Metro Pacific Tollways (MPTC) “Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko” motorist-assistance program
From October 31 to November 4, MPTC will deploy additional personnel to assist motorists, monitor traffic conditions and incidents 24/7, and implement enhanced traffic management schemes to ensure fast travel.


Additionally, MPTC will set up emergency and incident response teams along the expressways and offer free towing services for Class 1 vehicles to the nearest exit.
Other MVP-operated companies will also participate in MPTC’s SMSK campaign. Maynilad will provide bottles of drinking water to travelers visiting the SMSK camps. Meanwhile, mWell will also put up booths in rest and refuel areas to offer health consultations to travelers.

Finally, Smart will provide free internet access and charging stations in selected areas.

- Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX)

- Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX)

Easytrip RFID booth locations and operating hours
Easytrip RFID, for its part, has published the locations and the operating hours of its reloading and installation centers.

SMC Infrastructure’s Autosweep RFID posted the operating hours for its reloading and installation centers for Undas.

Petron’s “Lakbay Alalay” motorist-assistance program
Petron Corporation will also hold its “Lakbay Alalay” motorist-ssistance program in select service stations. Free vehicle safety checks are available at its Car Care Center (CCC) booths.

Meanwhile, freebies and discounts await Petron Value Card holders at select service stations along expressways on October 31, November 1, and November 3.

DPWH’s “Lakbay Alalay” motorist-assistance program
Finally, the Department of Public Works and Highways will reactivate its “Lakbay Alalay” motorist-assistance program. All DPWH regional and district engineering offices are ordered to put up tents in strategic locations nationwide from October 28 (7am) until November 2 (12pm).
Uniformed field and crew personnel will assist motorists in need. The same team will ensure that the roads are passable and free from obstruction.

Additionally, various government agencies like the Land Transportation Office, the Philippine National Police, and the local government units will take part in the implementation of the program.
