One of the few things that somehow manages to make Filipinos momentarily forget their differences is the beauty pageant. Just like the boxing matches during Manny Pacquiao’s heyday, the country seems to stop in anticipation of who will be awarded the crown. And that’s exactly what will happen to Beatrice Luigi Gomez when she takes to the global stage.

Gomez is the winner of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant. She will be representing the country at the Miss Universe 2021 event, which will be held in Eilat, Israel next month. And aside from taking the crown at the national-level competition, she has received the keys to a brand-new MG ZS crossover as part of her winnings.

The beauty queen has affectionally named her new vehicle “Raven,” and it will be her companion on the road once she starts her duties as this year’s Miss Universe Philippines winner.
