Basketball is an integral sport in Filipino culture, and Toyota Motor Philippines recognizes this. That is why it will be sponsoring this year’s FIBA Basketball World Cup, partnering with Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and Gilas Pilipinas.
In addition, the car company will also be cooperating with the national association to support Filipino athletes and elevate the sport in the country through various clinics and training camps.
“By being part of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 journey, one of the biggest global sports events this year, we aim to further inspire and encourage more Filipinos to use the power of movement to reach their full potential,” said TMP president Atsuhiro Okamoto. “This is the spirit of our ‘Start Your Impossible’ global sports campaign.”
The Philippines will be one of the co-hosts of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 with the majority of the games—from August 25 to September 10—to be held here, including the finals.
