Today is International Coffee Day. And if you’re looking for a place to celebrate the occasion, you can visit Mitsukoshi in Bonifacio Global City.

When the department store opened in BGC, it promised to give Filipinos a taste of Japan’s finest brands. Lexus Philippines has a showroom there, located beside Key Coffee Kissaten.

Key Coffee has been around since 1920 (making it much older than Starbucks), and it has contributed to the growth of Japanese coffee culture. The concept of the Mitsukoshi branch is a modern take on a kissaten.

Popular from the 1920s to the 1980s, this kind of coffee shop was inspired by traditional tea houses and incorporated jazz music to create a relaxing space with a Western-style ambience.

Visitors can enjoy various beverages such as pour-over coffee, lattes, and other espresso- or crème-based drinks while appreciating the Lexus vehicles on display. There’s an exclusive Lexus x Key Coffee menu, too, if you’re hungry.

Key Coffee Kissaten is open from 7am to 10pm (Sunday to Wednesday), and from 7am to 11pm (Thursday to Saturday). Meanwhile, Lexus Mitsukoshi is open from 10am to 9pm.
