PIMS 2024: Hyundai shows off hybrids and Elantra N

The 9th Philippine International Motor Show marks Hyundai’s second appearance at PIMS since the brand relaunched in the country under Hyundai Motor Philippines in 2022.

The marque’s presence at PIMS is, frankly, the event for the brand in and of itself. Paulo Avelino graced the opening spiel as one of Hyundai’s local brand ambassadors, while Spot the Boston Dynamics robot dog made an appearance to highlight the company’s ongoing collaboration with the robotic giant (Boston Dynamics, not Spot).

On display are Hyundai’s two hybrid offerings, the Santa Fe Hybrid and the Tucson Hybrid; the two Star Wars-esque vehicles, the Stargazer X and the Staria; and the trackable daily Hyundai Elantra N.

As is the norm with these shows, Hyundai offers test drives and discounts for customers interested in the brand’s vehicles. A P10,000 discount is available for the Tucson Hybrid, the Stargazer, and the Creta, while the Stargazer comes with a free two-year preventive maintenance service package on purchase.

If you just happen to be passing by, there’s coffee courtesy of Hyundai Café, and the N Garage is open for “Nthusiasts” who wish to purchase N merchandise, N parts, or simply take a spin on the N racing simulator.
