Changan is a relatively new player in the market, having entered in 2020. Now, the Chinese brand puts its best foot forward for the 2023 Manila International Auto Show as it showcases its new design philosophy, “Vision-V.”

The Uni-T and the Uni-K are Changan’s latest models, being the first ones to bear the new styling.

The Uni-T is a compact crossover powered by a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine with 177hp and 300Nm. The car is easily recognizable thanks to its borderless grille and “Starship” LED lights. The rear is just as exciting visually with an unusually V-shaped rear spoiler.

In addition to a plethora of safety features, it has a 10.3-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link, while your gadgets can be charged via a wireless-charging pad or USB ports.

The bigger sibling of the Uni-T is theUni-K. Equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine, this midsize crossover has a maximum output of 229hp and 390Nm. The BorgWarner all-wheel drive system allows the car to switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive to adapt to different road conditions.

It is just as stylish inside as the outside with a quadruple-screen layout on the dashboard, and a 10.3-inch infotainment system, also with Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link. And once you’ve connected your phone, you can enjoy listening to your music with the 12-speaker Sony audio system.

The Uni-T costs P1.679 million, while the Uni-K sets you back a whopping P2.719 million. Do you think these prices are justified for these Chinese vehicles?
