Hongqi hasn’t made a significant splash in the Philippine market since its brand and dealership launch in 2023, with an all-luxury lineup and a dash of electrification. Everyone thought that its distributor had slowed down operations for the Chinese brand.

However, on April 21st, EVOxTerra arranged a preview event for a new duo of electric models: the EH7 sedan and the E-HS7 crossover SUV.

Despite the differences in vehicle categories, both models share the same powertrains and variants. The single-motor Exclusive has a rear-driven 85kWh battery pack producing 339hp. The dual-motor Flagship wields an 111kWh battery pack driving all four wheels to a combined 455hp.

As a result, the top-spec EH7 has a WLTP range of 640km, while the E-HS7 has 540km—both in a single charge.

Their dashboards also have a six-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.5-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both are equipped with Level 2 intelligent (partial autonomous) driving paired with a slew of safety features like lane-keep assist, automated emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert.

At their base Executive variants, the EH7 and the E-HS7 will start at P2,280,000 and P2,580,000, respectively. Hongqi Philippines will officially launch these two models at its Manila Bay dealership on May 27.
