Honda officially previews the upcoming iteration of the all-new CR-V

And it will be utilizing a hybrid drivetrain

The Honda CR-V is credited with having started the SUV craze here in the Philippines with the first-generation RD1. Soon, other manufacturers released their own take on the form factor to get a slice of the segment for themselves.

The fifth generation (the RW1) of the crossover has been in the market since 2017, and plenty of rumors of a new model have been circulating the Internet for some time now—especially with the full car having been leaked last week.

Now, it’s the turn of Honda to carry on the hype built up around these leaks by releasing official teaser images of its next-generation CR-V. While these images may only offer a glimpse of the car, the Japanese marque’s new design language seen on the current Civic and HR-V is apparent.

Other than a few exterior shots, there’s not much information to work with. But based on the badging, we do know that a hybrid powertrain will be available. Other details and specifications will be announced during the vehicle’s North American launch happening later this year.
