They say it’s better late than never. After much planning and strategizing, Toyota Motor Philippines has finally launched the bZ4X. Unlike the brand’s hybrid models, this one is engine-less being a battery electric vehicle (BEV). Here are the specs that you should know.

The Toyota bZ4X is powered by a 73.11kWh lithium-ion battery. The EV is all-wheel-drive with an output of 224hp and 269Nm at the front, and 118hp and 170Nm at the rear. The maximum range is rated up to 570km.
At 4,690mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,650mm high, the bZ4X is a compact crossover with a ground clearance of 200mm. It rolls on 20-inch wheels with a wheelbase of 2,850mm, allowing it to comfortably seat five people.

Inside, you’ll find a seven-inch Digital Meter Cluster on the driver’s side, and a 14-inch infotainment system at the center—complete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There are also dual wireless-charging ports at the front, and USB-C chargers at the front and the rear so that your devices don’t run out of juice while on the road.
The bZ4X is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense, which includes features such as pre-collision system, automatic high beam, adaptive high-beam system, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert, and dynamic radar cruise control.
You also get extra eyes on the road with the blind spot and panoramic view monitors, as well as a digital inside rearview mirror.

According to TMP first vice president for vehicle sales Elijah Marcial, Toyota believes that now is the right time to make BEVs more mainstream, since Filipinos have a better understanding of EV technology and its benefits, and charging infrastructure is becoming more readily available.
The bZ4X is available in one variant with the following prices:
- Dark Blue Mica/Attitude Black Mica – P2,699,000
- Platinum White Pearl Mica/Attitude Black Mica – P2,714,000
- Precious Metal/Attitude Black Mica – P2,719,000
