For this year’s Auto China, Chery joins with the theme of “New Energy, New Eco, New Era” in its bid to promote safe and sustainable motoring. The highlight of its exhibit is the Tiggo 9 PHEV.
Its 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine produces 235hp and 385Nm, and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The flagship model now has Chery’s DHT hybrid system, which is also present in the Tiggo 8 Pro e+.
The Tiggo 9 PHEV rolls on 20-inch wheels. The maximum range is claimed to go as far as 1,400km with a fuel efficiency as high as 19.23km/L, both according to WLTC standards. Inside, you’ll find a luxurious interior with a large 15.6-inch, 2.5K infotainment system as the centerpiece.
Chery says the Tiggo 9 PHEV will be launched in Q4 this year with an ICE-only variant, but it hasn’t specified which markets. Would you like Chery Philippines to bring in this flagship hybrid vehicle?
