The day after the thrilling showdown for the riders’ crown for 2024—and a day before preseason testing—MotoGP, along with Pentagram, the world’s largest independent design studio, unveiled the series’ new identity.
The new logo seeks to capture the motion and the human element of the sport—the riders.
The ‘M’ symbolizes two riders leaning close to each other on the track and racing hard, whether it’s an overtake or one about to pass and the other defending. The ‘oto’ is a bike, with the ‘o’s as the wheels and the ‘t’ as the rider. ‘GP’, meanwhile, represents the track and gives the logo a striking appearance.
Furthermore, the slogan “Faster. Forward. Fearless.” stands for “The fastest bikes. The most forward-thinking manufacturers. The world’s most fearless riders.”
Apart from gaining a new look, the simplified yet bolder logo will be more recognizable across different media platforms.
Asked what he thinks of the new logo, new world champion Jorge Martin said: “The adrenaline, the overtakes, the crashes, every moment. I’m proud to be part of this family, and I’m proud to be representing the new era of MotoGP.”
Two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia was also asked what he thinks, and he replied: “Pure emotion. I love it because it’s clear, clean, and has impact.”
What do you think of the new logo?
