As part of ACMobility’s corporate social responsibility, BYD Philippines will donate $100 (P5,800) for every Sealion 6 sold until the end of the year to victims of super typhoon Carina.
The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is the latest model in the brand’s lineup, with a price of P1,548,000. It promises a maximum range of up to 1,100km through a combination of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a 194hp motor with a 18.3kWh battery.
The vehicle was launched on July 25 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati where BYD Asia-Pacific auto sales division general manager Liu Xueliang announced the pledge. The following day, ACMobility mobilized to Barangay Dela Paz in Pasig City to donate relief goods to over 100 families affected by flooding brought about by the heavy rains.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected by this calamity,” said BYD Philippines managing director Bob Palanca. “Guided by our company value of malasakit, we remain committed to going above and beyond in serving our communities during these trying times.”
When giving to charity, it’s important to know where the donations will go. We asked if ACMobility would be collaborating with a specific charity organization. A representative replied that the details are not final, and there is no designated beneficiary yet.
