MPTC says it has been affected by data breach

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation is informing motorists of a possible data breach, which may have affected some user accounts.

According to the company’s post:

We would like to inform our motorists that a limited data breach took place tonight (September 7), and some user accounts may have been accessed and possibly compromised.

The company’s cybersecurity team is currently investigating the extent of the information breach.

MPTC may reach out to the affected Easytrip account holders and will ensure that their wallet balances will remain secure.
