If you’ve spent any time scrolling through our Facebook page lately, you’ve probably noticed the influx of Green GSM videos being sent to us (usually via our community). It’s clear that these new cyan-colored electric taxis get a lot of attention online.
In light of the public conversation surrounding road discipline, the Land Transportation Office—under the leadership of chief Markus Lacanilao—is moving to ensure the safety of all road users.

Through LTO’s Traffic Safety Division, the LTO conducted a “Road Safety and Defensive Driving Seminar” for 50 Green GSM drivers. The session served as a much-needed reality check to enhance discipline, promote road safety, and ensure strict compliance with traffic rules.

Interestingly, this was requested directly by Green GSM Philippines for its newly hired Metro Manila drivers. The seminar covered traffic rules, licensing laws, emergency response, and special transport regulations.
To ensure that the material actually stuck, the participants were required to do a written exam to test what they learned.

As this is just one of (hopefully) many for the EV taxi company, the LTO plans more seminars as the EV fleet expands. Thanks to a promising partnership, we hope that the TNVS industry will provide a safer and more responsible commuting experience for all.
