Christmas is coming soon. Although the season is supposed to be filled with merriment, it is also hectic. According to Grab Philippines, demand spikes as high as 45% for ride-hailing services, and as much as 20% for deliveries.

That’s why the tech company has been preparing throughout the year to better serve Filipinos with the theme, “This season, be present with Grab.”

The three key areas of improvement include reliability, safety, and affordability. Here are some features worth checking out that could make the Christmas rush more convenient.

RELIABILITY

Group ride. A single booking can be made for a shared ride with different pickups and the same drop-off (or vice versa).

Advance booking. Those who need to get to the airport can book a ride as early as seven days ahead of their flight. According to Grab, this is supposed to be its most reliable feature.

Multi-service type booking. This allows users to select multiple service types within a single booking. It is recommended for those who just need a ride, regardless of what car is picking them up.

SAFETY

Audio protect. Audio is recorded during a trip as a form of deterrence against untoward incidents. The files are securely stored with Grab in case they are needed as evidence.

Trip monitoring. In case there are any prolonged or unplanned stops, the Grab app can check up on passengers should there be any safety concerns.

Family account. This allows users to make bookings for their family members, and keep track of their loved ones during the trip.

AFFORDABILITY

GrabCar and GrabFood saver. Those with “flexible waiting times” can avail of the saver feature to reduce costs.

Group order. This makes ordering food for several people easier while giving discounts for larger groups.
