The Ford Territory Hybrid was launched August this year, and it appears to have gained traction. Ford Philippines is happy to report that a total of 1,099 units were sold from launch until the end of November, with more than 75% of these being the Titanium X variant.

The electrified crossover features a 1.5-liter in-line-four engine with a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a 1.83kW lithium-ion battery. The engine pumps out 148hp and 230Nm, while the electric motor produces 215hp and 315Nm.

The benefit of a hybrid system is that it gives you the best of both worlds. The Territory Hybrid has four different modes: EV, Series, Parallel, and Energy Recovery. The seamless transition between electric and gasoline power allows the car to maximize fuel efficiency or power delivery.

“The Territory continues to be a key vehicle in Ford’s electrification strategy in the Philippines, and the solid performance of the Territory Hybrid shows that customers are ready for a vehicle that combines efficiency, refinement, and a dynamic driving experience,” said Ford Philippines managing director Pedro Simoes.
