Fans of the Honda City will be pleased to know that Honda Cars Philippines will finally bring in the refreshed fifth-generation model that made its debut a few months ago. The vehicle will launch locally on July 13.

For starters, the biggest change comes with the inclusion of the Honda Sensing safety suite, along with the addition of vehicle stability assist and front and side airbags. And yes, all variants of the model gain these improvements. It is still powered by the old reliable 1.5-liter i-VTEC gasoline mill (119hp and 145Nm) mated to a CVT.

Additionally, the car has a new front grille, revamped front and rear bumpers, and new alloy wheels. A new color called Obsidian Blue Pearl is introduced, but is only exclusive to the RS and V model grades. The cabin gets a revamped digital instrument cluster and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

The prices?

  • City E – P975,000
  • City S – P999,000
  • City V – P1,075,000
  • City RS – P1,130,000

You will be able to see this and other models in the metal from July 13 to 16 at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall. For those excited, they can now reserve it at any authorized dealership nationwide or at Honda’s website.

Also, from July 1 to 12, the automaker will offer a “Special Drive Deal,” where customers will be eligible for a waived reservation fee worth P5,000 for units purchased and released on or before August 31.
