By now, we’ve heard that Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines will be debuting at this year’s Manila International Auto Show with the Omoda 5 and the Jaecoo 7. Turns out those aren’t the only models in the lineup as the Jaecoo 8 will also be joining them.

The Jaecoo 8 is the bigger brother of the 7, measuring 4,820mm long, 1,930mm wide, and 1,710mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2,820mm and a cargo capacity of 717L.

Powering the midsize crossover is a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine with 245hp and 385Nm. This is paired with a Getrag seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission.

For off-roading, the 8 has the All Road Drive Intelligent System (ARDIS). This is described as a “unique vectorial four-wheel-drive control system” to allow the vehicle to adapt to different terrain. Complementing this is the suspension with continuous damping control.

You can see the Jaecoo 8 in the metal at MIAS on April 47 in the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
