No raffle needed for this one

It was only a matter of time before Nissan Philippines launched the high-performance variant of its Z sports car, as we saw both the 370Z and the 370Z Nismo launch in our country, with the latter making its debut at the 2018 Philippine International Motor Show.

And six years later at the 9th edition of the PIMS, the Z Nismo makes its debut in all of its amped-up glory.

The aerodynamics have been revised all around to improve cooling and downforce, and also reduce drag and lift. It rides on 19-inch forged Rays wheels, and comes in four different hues: Nismo Stealth Pearl, Everest White, Passion Red, and Granite Black.

The inside is fairly tame and close to the vanilla variant, only this time offering Recaro bucket seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara. The steering wheel gets a red centering stripe and Alcantara upholstery as well, and several red accents can be found across the cabin and the Nismo-exclusive digital gauge cluster.

Most importantly, the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine (VR30DDTT) gets a sizable power and torque bump to 420hp and 520Nm due to improved cooling, an uprated turbo, and revised spark timing.

Unfortunately, purists will wince in pain as they find out that it’s only offered with a nine-speed automatic, but said transmission has been tuned for faster and more aggressive shifts.

To top that all off, the Z Nismo also gets improved handling with new stabilizer bars, stiffer springs and suspension bushings, larger dampers, larger brake rotors, and wider, stickier Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 rubber.

The price? A cool P4,688,000, with deliveries starting in January 2025. Come see it at the Nissan booth until October 27.
