A new challenger has appeared in the Philippine automotive industry with the entry of Rox.
Not to be confused with the outdoor store, it is a Chinese new-energy-vehicle brand, and its founder Chang Jing is known for Roborock, a vacuum-cleaner company under Xiaomi’s ecological chain.
The launch of Rox Motor Philippines was held on September 17 with the introduction of the Rox 01. It is a luxury SUV and an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV). The hybrid powertrain consists of a 56.01kWh battery, 350kW (470hp) dual motors, and a 1.5-liter range extender, which results in a maximum range of up to 1,115km.
The SUV measures 5,295mm long (with spare tire), 1,980mm wide, and 1,869mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,010mm. The model comes in two flavors.
The 01 Sport features a roof rack, a underchassis bash guard, and a stowable tailgate kitchen for those who want to go camping in the great outdoors.
Meanwhile, the 01 Luxury is comfort-oriented with reclining captain’s chairs in the second row, complete with ventilation and a massage function.
Transcorp is the local distributor behind Rox Motor Philippines. The 01 Luxury is priced at P4,288,000, and the 01 Sport is yours for P4,388,000.
You can visit the showroom at 88 West Service Road along NLEX in Valenzuela.
