The Honda ADV160 has been a staple on the Philippine road. It has been popular since its launch in 2022, replacing the ADV150. But what’s new with the Japanese brand’s scooter?
A major upgrade has occurred with the new ADV160, which now offers two variants: the ABS Type and the RoadSync Type. The ABS Type comes in Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Pearl Fadeless White, and Matte Saber Green Metallic. Meanwhile, the RoadSync Type is available in Matte Pearl Crater White and Quartz Brown Metallic.

Both models feature a 157cc four-stroke, four-valve liquid-cooled engine, hydraulic disc brakes, telescopic front suspension, and Twin Shock rear suspension with Subtank. The motorcycle also uses the Honda Smart Key System.
Also included are an LED lighting system for improved visibility, a 30L luggage box that can accommodate a helmet and other cargo, and a USB Type-C charging port for recharging devices on the go.

The RoadSync Type has components that make it worth the higher price tag. The Honda RoadSync App allows vehicle owners to connect to their vehicle via their mobile phone. This app is available for download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Buyers should consider the other updates, including the five-inch TFT display, the multifunction switch, and the passing light switch when choosing their preferred variant.

The ADV160’s partner was also introduced: the Honda Smart Top Box. It can be accessed via the same Honda Smart Key System of the scooter. It can hold up to 40L of storage, enough for a headgear and other items. The compartment is made with hard case plastic, and includes a bracket and a top box base.

The ABS Type is priced at P167,400, while the RoadSync Type costs P174,900. That’s just an added P7,500 for a significant upgrade. The price and the availability of the Smart Top Box will be announced this coming May.
With advancements in the ADV160 variants and the first remotely unlocked top box, would you consider this unit and its accessories for your next ride?
