In 2003, Isuzu Philippines debuted the D-Max in a market that—for decades—had lived with the trusty Fuego. Ever since, it has been a hit seller in the pickup truck segment and has consistently been at the forefront of Japanese-brand sales, thanks to its dependable quality and reliability.
For 2026, the third-generation D-Max receives some nip-and-tuck improvements that elevate its style and technology.

First, the grille section features updates that enhance the new three-slot design for maximum macho points. The lighting system now includes subtle gray accents in the bi-LED headlamps and rear combination lamps, along with redesigned bezels for the fog light housings.
The interior has received a more premium makeover with new seat patterns and an updated 10.1-inch infotainment display to keep up with the times. The user interface has improved visuals with a clearer, more intuitive layout.

The pièce de résistance of this update is the Around View Monitor, now with a new underbody view. This makes traversing through obstacles easier—whether on rocky/gravel paths or concrete/urban parking lots. In the event of a collision, the D-Max includes a built-in digital video recorder to provide evidence when needed.
The new encompassing monitor pairs well with the existing advanced driver-assist system that has kept drivers safe and alert. Thanks to Isuzu’s Smart Duo cameras and rear radars, the D-Max comes equipped with adaptive cruise control, pedal misapplication mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning, while autonomous emergency braking and rear cross-traffic braking are exclusive to the LS-E.

While the pickup’s looks and features have been enhanced, its powertrain options continue to include two four-cylinder turbodiesels: the 1.9-liter RZ4E (coming soon in LS form) and the 3.0-liter 4JJ3 (available on the LS-A and the LS-E).
This rock-solid vehicle has proven to be trustworthy for many owners hauling business and recreational goods in either 4×2 or 4×4 configurations. The updated Isuzu D-Max in lifestyle form has the appearance and the brute force to match (or even top) the competition, starting at sub-P1.8 million pricing:
- 4×2 LS-A MT Plus – P1,796,000
- 4×2 LS-A AT Plus – P1,880,000
- 4×4 LS-A MT Plus – P2,160,000
- 4×2 LS-E AT – P2,094,000
- 4×4 LS-E AT – P2,394,000
