We had the exclusive opportunity to tour the amenities of 2Go Travel’s ferry, accompanied by Mindanao’s premium motorcycles dealer, Norminring Motorbikes.

When SM Investments took over, they wanted to redefine sea travel through a value-for-money cruise-like experience.

The invitation was a prelude to a significant partnership between Mindanao Freedom Ride, MCBBC (Mindanao Confederation of Big Bike Clubs), and 2Go Travel. We had a nice tour inside MV Masagana, a passenger RORO cargo ship.

Upon boarding the ferry, it has a ship’s resemblance to a cruise liner. Far from the traditional rusting ferry experience, 2Go has elevated its interiors and amenities to cater to the discriminating traveler.

The ship boasts a variety of familiar retail outlets, including Watson’s, Miniso, Goldilocks, and Brownies Unlimited, ensuring that passengers have access to their favorite treats.

Descending to the passenger decks, we were greeted by a serene and minimalist ambience. The cabins are thoroughly designed, inspired by Japanese aesthetics, offering a clean and cozy retreat.

The interior decor is characterized by its simplicity and cool colors, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

A karaoke room provides an opportunity for passengers to showcase their singing talents, while a salon offers pampering services for those seeking relaxation.

The ship’s dining area is a spacious and inviting space, where passengers can enjoy meals and socialize with fellow travelers. There is also an onboard coffee shop.

The café and dining area is nice and clean. We could camp and work here all day.

The tour provided a glimpse into the captain’s deck, where the ship’s navigation and operations are meticulously managed. The bridge is equipped with cutting-edge technology, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for all passengers.

This partnership aims to form a significant milestone for motorcycle riders in the future. By collaborating, these organizations aim to promote comfortable, seamless moto-tourism, by providing a hotel-like experience while traveling in the sea.

As we concluded our tour, we were impressed by the level of convenience that 2Go Travel offers its passengers. The ferry’s amenities make it an ideal choice for travelers seeking a comfortable journey.

We really hope it brings about positive inter-island moto-tourism in the future while enhancing and transforming the tedious ferry procedures in the country.
