When it comes to all-terrain SUV tires, General Tire is a household name that has over 100 years of experience. At the 2024 Trans Sport Show, the brand reentered the country under a new distributor, YHI Philippines.

As part of its initial lineup, the brand will offer four kinds of Grabber SUV tires to the public.

The first is the Grabber HT6, a highway-terrain tire that is oriented for the urban sprawl, made for quietness and comfort on paved roads.

Next is the Grabber AT6. This all-terrain tire does not sacrifice on-road performance, and also provides good traction for mud and loose surfaces.

It’s followed by the Grabber A/Tx, an aggressive all-terrain tire aimed at overlanding enthusiasts who want to get to off-grid areas with ease. Despite its aggressive off-road features, it is still good enough for paved surfaces.

And the most extreme of them all, the Grabber X3, is made for extreme trails and rough conditions where other all-terrain compounds fail to get a grip.

Open to expanding, the distributor is looking for more partners. PHOTO BY JUSTIN YOUNG

For those interested in buying these tires, you can find them nationwide in shops such as Wheel Gallery, Gears, Tri-J Marketing (Cebu), and Power Point Enterprises (Cagayan De Oro). More dealers are to follow as the distributor is looking to expand.
