Vehicle maintenance is undeniably pricey, but it is not something that owners should cheap out on. That’s why any car manufacturer offering free maintenance packages is music to our ears. In the case of anyone looking to buy a Subaru, here’s what the automaker has in store for you.

Every purchase of a new Crosstrek, Forester, Outback, WRX, or BRZ includes a free two-year periodic maintenance service package. That is four visits spaced every six months or 10,000km, whichever comes first.

Buyers of the three-row Evoltis get a more generous deal with a complimentary five-year PMS package, or 10 visits at six-month or 10,000km intervals.

Each PMS visit includes lubricants, consumable parts, miscellaneous materials, air- and cabin-filter cleaning, and tire rotation in accordance with Subaru’s recommended maintenance program. With coverage lasting up to five years, this is a substantial reduction in the cost of ownership.
