The limits of the word “luxury” are defined not only by the price. Zeekr Philippines, under the Autohub Group, has launched the all-new Zeekr 009 (you must have seen our short preview video). The brand claims that the 009 is the first pure electric luxury multipurpose vehicle.

Starting with the luxury goodies, you will be greeted by its distinctive look, which is seen among other Zeekr models, and can turn heads on the road.

The interior, on the other hand, tells a different story.

Focused on the second-row experience, you will find Sofaro first-class airline seats and a foldable table with Nappa leather upholstery. Passengers in the center get to enjoy a 17-inch ceiling-mounted OLED display powered by dual high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets that deliver a fast and smooth experience with 30 speakers, 3,000W peak power, and a Yamaha surround-sound system for passenger immersion. In addition, the driver and the front passenger have massaging seats (those in the back have massagers, too) and a 15.05-inch touchscreen OLED display.

Specs-wise, the MPV (or minivan, whichever term you prefer) is powered by a dual-motor drive system that sends 777hp and 810Nm to all four wheels. The 009’s acceleration can get you from zero to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds. It’s also equipped with a 109kWh battery, enough to travel up to 702km in a single charge.

Comfort-wise, aside from the premium interior, the ride features a dual-chamber air suspension and CCD electromagnetic vibration reduction system. The brand claims that the system’s purpose is to minimize road disturbances by detecting road bumps and adjusting the suspension within milliseconds.

With safety in mind, the 009 has seven airbags; a high-strength 2,000MPa steel body; LIDAR; a 720° active safety warning system; and most of the safety features found in high-end cars.
