British (or Chinese) brand MG has a strong foothold in the Philippines. This is attributed to the cutting-edge designs and generous equipment list of its offerings. That same recipe appears to be applied to the all-new HS, which the automaker is teasing at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show.

Sleeker headlights and a large radiator grille dominate the front fascia. The sides still have smoothly flared fenders that make the HS appear muscular. The steeply raked tailgate is complemented by a lightbar. Bringing everything together are 19-inch wheels with a distinctive multi-spoke design.

MG is rather tight-lipped right now with the car’s features. What we do know is that there will be a pair of 12.3-inch displays in the cockpit, which we can only assume will have smartphone connectivity. The HS will also be equipped with the MG Pilot system of driver aids.

Likely taking advantage of incentives for clean-energy vehicles, the HS comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Combined figures for the 1.5-liter turbo engine and the electric motor are 322hp and 570Nm. MG claims that the battery is good for up to 100km, and the car can apparently do 1,065km on a full tank.

Another thing that MG is refusing to reveal is pricing. But if the latest HS piques your interest, see it in the metal at World Trade Center in Pasay City.
