The new ASEAN-spec Honda CR-V was first unveiled at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show, and everyone was speculating about its inevitable inclusion in the Philippine lineup. Five months later, Honda Cars Philippines has finally given a launch date for the compact crossover’s arrival: September 13.

The sixth-generation CR-V will come with two distinct engine choices. A 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (for the V and VX trims) produces 187hp and 240Nm, and is mated to a CVT. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine is set for the RS e:HEV with a total output of 204hp, and paired with eCVT.

All models are equipped with a nine-inch infotainment system that appears to provide extra convenience and safety, thanks to Honda Connect (making its debut in the country) and Honda Sensing.

Other premium touches include leather seats for maximum comfort and piano-black garnish paired with either silver, woodgrain, or brushed aluminum.

Here are the prices of the three variants.

  • 1.5 V Turbo CVT – P2,150,000
  • 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD – P2,300,000
  • 2.0 RS e:HEV eCVT – P2,600,000
