As some of you Mazda fans may already know, the Japanese carmaker is about to globally launch the all-new (and fourth-generation) 3 compact hatchback and sedan. Last October 17, the company shared via its Japanese Twitter account a very short teaser video showing portions of both the hatchback and the sedan. “A new era begins November 2018,” the caption said.
This time, the Hiroshima-based vehicle manufacturer has released a teaser image of the sedan ahead of its formal presentation at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of this month. Here’s what Mazda tells us so far:
The all-new Mazda 3 adopts a more mature interpretation of the Kodo design that embodies the essence of Japanese aesthetics. Meanwhile, fundamental performance attributes have been raised to a new level. The next-generation Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture enables people to make the most of their natural sense of balance, and the latest Skyactiv engines offer responsive control of vehicle speed in any driving situation. The arrival of the all-new Mazda 3 marks the beginning of a whole new generation of Mazda cars that will deliver new dimensions of driving pleasure to customers around the world.
Too bad there’s not even a hint of the headlamps or the taillights. You’re such a tease, Mazda. Such a tease.
