You might recall Legado Motors, the erstwhile distributor of the now-very-successful GAC brand (now handled by Astara). The company is now busy with a new Chinese marque, Dongfeng, which it announced late last year.
This past summer, the new partnership introduced a new managing director in Atty. Albert Arcilla. If his name rings a bell, that’s because this industry veteran used to head Volvo, Chevrolet and MG. You could point out the obvious that Dongfeng is not as mainstream or familiar as the three car brands, but everything has to start somewhere.
And to acquaint Filipino automotive consumers with Dongfeng, Arcilla’s team is holding an event this weekend at the TriNoma Activity Center, called the “#WeTime Grand Caravan.” The venue is made to resemble a DFM (Dongfeng Motors) City, and it features interactive activities for the whole family.
Needless to say, the main highlight of the affair is the assembly of Dongfeng vehicles, and these cars are being offered with tempting discounts and low down payments.
For example, the Aeolus Mage can be had for a P68,000 all-in down payment and a P25,626 monthly amortization over 60 months.
The Nammi EV is also available with a P68,000 all-in down payment and a P25,420 monthly amortization over 60 months.
Meanwhile, the Forthing U-Tour is yours for a P78,000 down payment and a P27,884 monthly amortization over 60 months.
Finally, the Nanobox can now be bought on a P150,000 discount.
Other Dongfeng vehicles like the MHero SUV and the Rich 7 pickup are likewise present at the event. If you’re open to owning a new car brand from China, this might be the perfect time for you to inspect the above-mentioned Dongfeng models up close and personal.
Happy looong weekend, guys!
