We recently got the chance to try out the new Royal Enfield Bear 650 at the KRB MX Speedway in Antipolo, courtesy of Royal Enfield Philippines. This bike is designed for simplicity and fun, perfect for casual off-road adventures and everyday road-riding.

The Bear 650 feels a bit heavy for its kind, but its weight distribution provides stability and grounding on off-road terrain, while remaining agile on paved roads. Its scrambler design gives it a laid-back charm, and the riding posture is comfortable, making it easy to handle in various conditions.

The Bear 650 comes equipped with a 648cc single-cylinder engine that produces 47.2Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a wet multiplate clutch. It features dual-channel ABS for added safety, and riders have the option to switch between dual-channel ABS and single-channel ABS.

The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with dual-purpose tires. A modern TFT meter provides clear instrumentation, and the seat is designed for comfort.
Whether cruising on the highway or exploring dirt trails, the Bear 650 seems built for enjoyment. Its simplicity is part of its appeal, making it a great option for those who want a fun, laid-back ride without the complexity of more hardcore off-road machines.
