Filipino riders conquer Mongolia Motourally 2025 Autumn Edition

It started with a question.

Back in 2023, former Ferrari dealer and now ADV enthusiast Marc Soong asked about off-road tours in Mongolia. Fast-forward to 2025, and that question turned into a full-blown adventure rally. Not just any ride, but the first and biggest Filipino delegation ever to compete in a five-day international Motourally in Mongolia.

Led by FJ Moto Enduro in cooperation with Enduro Adventure Philippines and Total AdvenTour, a total of 27 Filipino riders forming nine teams braved the vast Mongolian wilderness to test their limits. Set in autumn, the 2025 Mongolia Motourally wasn’t just cold—it was punishing. For riders used to Philippine heat and humidity, navigating through 1,000km of mountain ranges and open plains was no walk in the park.

But this rally was never meant to be easy. The event, which drew participants from Mongolia, the Philippines, the USA, and Portugal, was designed to challenge not just physical endurance, but also navigation, strategy and, above all, teamwork.

“Compared to the rallies we organize in the Philippines, this one is on another level,” shared Don Joseph of FJ Moto Enduro. “It’s brutal.”

Brutal as it was, the Filipino teams showed up—and showed out. In the Adventure Category (400cc and up), the Philippines swept the podium:

  • RFS Wheeltek – 1st place
  • Silencio-Ipone – 2nd place
  • Pirata-Ipone – 3rd place

Another standout performance came from Team Gone Golia, which landed seventh in the Enduro Category and eighth overall—and second all-Filipino best time (no small feat considering the difficulty of the terrain and the caliber of the international competition).

The success of the Philippine delegation speaks volumes—not just about their skill, but also about the growing strength of the local enduro and ADV scene. And as more Filipino riders push themselves to the global stage, the goal isn’t just to compete. It’s to represent.

For Don Joseph, this Mongolian chapter is just the beginning. He believes that Filipino ADV and Enduro riders are ripe for international competitions in the future.
