Not long after acknowledging the exit toll traffic issue on NAIAX, San Miguel Corporation announced on its official X account that the collection of fees going in and out of Skyway would revert to the main plaza beside NAIA Terminal 3 effective yesterday (May 17).

In a series of tweets since the early hours of Friday, Skyway O&M Corporation said that the move to reinstate the gates near Newport Boulevard was to make room for further improvements at all exit ramps to better accommodate heavy traffic caused by cash payments and insufficient balances.

Commuters can breathe easy as the trial period that caused hell along every tight path is over until SMC finally figures out ways to alleviate congestion in one of the busiest parts of the expressway.
