MG Philippines has sold 10,000 units in under three years

Filipino car buyers are very conservative and traditional. Inasmuch as we love good-looking vehicles and great features, we also put a premium on the overall ownership experience. That’s why, over the years, we’ve seen many vehicle brands come and go. MG Philippines may be a relatively new player in the market. But in less than three years in the country—we’re talking about the current distributor—it has managed to sell 10,000 vehicles. How did the firm achieve this? We think we know how.

First and foremost is its product lineup. While the ZS crossover is the automaker’s bestseller, other vehicles in its catalog have equally good looks, nice features and competitive pricing.

In addition, MG seems to understand the needs of Filipino customers quite well. It offers value-added services that make buying and owning its cars a pleasant experience. Its website boasts a myriad of tools that help visitors to get to know its products better. And then, there’s the MG Live Chat Support, which allows customers get real-time responses for sales and (more importantly) maintenance questions. Finally, the My MG mobile app helps owners take better care of their vehicles by enabling them to keep track of servicing schedules.

MG Philippines’ success, it seems, is anchored in great customer service. And if this continues, we won’t be surprised if it reaches another sales milestone in the next couple of years.
