SAIC Motor Philippines has fully unveiled the new-generation MG ZS crossover—a week after motoring media were allowed to share its news. While we previously featured the Hybrid+ preview unit, there’s still a lot to credit for the other trim levels.

As mentioned in our recent teaser article, the second-generation ZS lineage starts with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine for the Comfort and Luxury trims, producing 110hp and 141Nm and mated to a CVT with eight simulated gears. Meanwhile, the Sport adds a turbocharger (pushing things to 168hp and 275Nm) and a seven-speed CVT.

The first two trim levels settle with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, manually adjusted seats, and a rear-view camera with guidelines. Surprisingly, those also include hill-start assist, hill descent and hold control, active rollover protection, and cruise control.

That sounds like a bargain when you discover that the new MG ZS starts below P1 million.

  • Comfort – P948,888
  • Luxury – P1,088,888
  • Sport – P1,148,888
  • Hybrid+ – P1,328,888

For the entire month of July, MG Philippines is slashing prices for each model: P40,000 off for the Comfort and the Luxury; P50,000 off for the Sport; and a whopping P80,000 off for the Hybrid+.
