The Department of Transportation and San Miguel Corporation Infrastructure have announced that the portion of Commonwealth Avenue between Regalado Avenue and Fairlane Street will be temporarily closed for the construction of the Regalado Station of the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7).

The westbound half will be closed from 10pm to 5am from July 15 until November 26. Meanwhile, the eastbound half will be inaccessible at the same time from August 8 to December 6. To guide motorists, the DOTr has provided graphics for possible alternative routes.

While the road closure may be inconvenient, it is only temporary and is a necessary step in improving public transportation for the benefit and convenience of commuters.
